ABOUT ME
My way of seeing the world
My name is Giuseppe Troisi and I photograph to understand, not just to tell stories.
Through the lens, I try to capture the rhythm of people, places, and daily gestures that often go unnoticed.
My photography is born from time and listening: a silent encounter with what is real, fragile, and authentic.
Each image is a fragment of humanity collected along my journey.
My Projects
Passionate about photography since I was young, for several years I have been dedicated to telling people’s stories through the images I capture through the lens.
My projects do not last hours or days, but months or years. In my work, I have met a family weaving reeds in Acquarica del Capo in Puglia, a truffle hunter in Molise, the fishermen of Santa Marinella, a couple of goat breeders from Canale Monterano, all people who, with their trades and lifestyle, stand outside the general flow dictated by globalization. Some of these projects are still ongoing. I have completed three projects abroad, two in Argentina (Buenos Aires) and another in Cuba (Santiago de Cuba), with which I have participated in various international photography competitions.
I follow up my activities with exhibitions where I share my experience and my photos to raise awareness of the realities I have delved into.
I have never stopped capturing frames of my outings in nature, studying photographic techniques, reading books and magazines, developing and printing in the darkroom.
